Real Estate & Design

Seaforth was recently given the title of being home to Australia’s most expensive street…and with good reason. This impressive street has seen a wave of recent big-dollar buys and extravagant renovations have raised its median house value to $8.5 million. Laura Street has displaced the nation’s traditional epicentres of wealth like Wolseley Road and Wolseley Crescent in Point Piper.

Minutes to serene Clontarf Beach and nearby Spit to Manly walk along the harbour foreshore, locals are spoilt for choice. Not only do you get to choose from various parks and sports grounds, you also get exceptional viewing points from many locations. Other sporting options include:

It was also home to Seaforth TAFE which was abandoned in 1999. The site has been the subject of controversial redevelopment plans, though most have been postponed. One such plan is to “transform Seaforth into a structured town centre with shops, cafes, offices, flats and civic space. This plan is yet to be confirmed.
